uVoice is a youth philanthropy board that began in 2013 as a partnership between the Mid-Iowa Health Foundation (MIHF) and Community Youth Concepts (CYC) to amplify youth voice throughout central Iowa and ensure youth have a role in determining how funding is allocated to improve the health and well-being for all youth and families in our community. Every year, uVoice members develop a grant application and review applications before allocating dollars to the organizations most suitable to confront their identified problem. In the process, uVoice members learn to research and apply knowledge gained from local data sources, cultivate leadership skills, develop a passion for philanthropy, and network with community leaders.
