The goal of the Community Leaders Project is to amplify the voices of underrepresented and marginalized communities. For far too long, individuals from these groups have been left out of key policy making decisions that affect them and their communities. By eliminating barriers between these individuals and a career in macro social work, we hope to develop the next generation of public service leadership and create a more just, equitable, and inclusive environment for the children, families, and communities of Central Iowa. This inclusive environment should positively impact the social determinants of health for the children of Central Iowa.
