Guiding Principles

Our philanthropic practice is guided by these principles:

  • We understand economic health and well-being as the predominant social driver of health.
  • We believe that those closest to an issue are integral to inform any potential solution to addressing a community health need and support the integration of their opinions in decision-making spaces.
  • We seek bold and lasting change – rooted in the best available evidence, analysis, and science – to support improvements in our community’s health outcomes.
  • We act as responsible stewards of private resources, using them to advance the public’s interest in addressing the social drivers of health with a focus on helping those experiencing the greatest health disparities in our community.
