United Way of Central Iowa will convene a community-led group that will aim to develop a comprehensive, long-term plan for sustainable youth violence prevention. They will finalize an RFP to secure a skilled facilitator, ensuring diverse voices are incorporated. Addressing urgent short-term needs to mitigate violence, the group will implement immediate strategies such as creating a Resource Guide, expanding Summer Youth Employment programs, and supporting on-the-ground work through mentoring and intervention.
