The Disaster Recovery Fund, coordinated by the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines, was created in partnership with disaster response and philanthropic organizations in Greater Des Moines to develop a collective strategy for charitable giving during times of disaster. As Greater Des Moines and its citizens are facing the effects of COVID-19, the fund is moving resources to where they are most needed and to adapt to evolving needs. Mid-Iowa Health Foundation was one of the initial investors in the fund and provides leadership on the decision-making committee.
